Read moreHi! My name is Sander and I've been an all-round developer for over 15 years. I like to build well structured and good looking digital experiences.
After high school I wasn't sure what to study next. I took a break year and started a web development course. I really liked the idea of creating something functional and beautiful and decided I wanted to study development.
Now, over 15 years later, I still really love coding and it is both my job and pastime.
In 2023 I started working as a freelance developer.
WebsiteIn 2019 I got offered a job working at a start-up company in the gig market. An old colleague of mine had built a first version but they were looking for more development power. In the 2.5 years I've worked at Staffyou we completely rebuild the platform and Staffyou grew from a small unknown to one of the bigger players in the Dutch gig market.
The platform was built using dotnet and SQL for the back end and TypeScript for the front end.
WebsiteIn 2008 I started an internship at MCW and stuck around for over 11 years. MCW is a varied agency creating video/3d productions, websites, interactive applications and more.
During my years I worked on a lot of different types of projects; from government websites to massive 10+ room escape rooms. I soon grew into the role of lead developer improving my skills each year.
At MCW I mainly developed in .NET, transitioning from ASP.NET Web Forms to MVC to dotnet core. For the front end we started with js/css using jQuery and over the years moved to TypeScript/sass using various in-house frameworks.
